Plastic Septic Tanks, Polyethylene Septic TanksA septic container is a chamber used for the retention and partial treatment of home wastewater. Effluent from the container is discharged to the land through perforated pipes beneath the ground surface. A septic fish tank can be used wherever earth characteristics are ideal and where there is sufficient ground depth above the bottom water table. The population being served must be sufficiently sparse to permit sufficient area for the distribution field required. A septic fish tank is not normally used to provide a population exceeding 150 people because of the disposal field things to consider (MELP, 1978). A typical gravel-and-pipe drainfield begins with a level-bottom trench located from 1 to 3 feet beneath the floor, but at least 2 toes above the groundwater table. A perforated drainpipe works along the center of the trench over 6 to 12 in . of gravel. Some more inches of gravel cover it. A silt barrier-a synthetic fabric-covers the gravel and tube, rejecting silt and dirt, and then earth backfills the trench. Once effluent extends to the drain system, the gravel and dirt act as a natural filter to strain and remove harmful bacteria, trojans, and other toxins so the water is clean by the time it grows to groundwater sources.
When you signal a contract with us we will de-sludge your septic fish tank at agreed intervals. A well planned timetable of regular de-sludging services keeps your charges - and our costs - down. This service is billed at the approved rates in operation at the time of each de-sludging service. To select this service please complete and return an application form.
Shown below is a sample standard set up with two drywells in series - bringing sewage in through the lid. Top loading (with vent) ensures maximum surge convenience of the drywell. Please note that venting your leaching pit (or any septic field) is most highly recommended... lack of venting at both ends of lateral lines is the ultimate reason behind leach field failing (after lack of proper two compartment filtered septic container). Oxygen keeps the drainage pit dry and the land around it healthier. Freezing is hardly ever, if ever, problems with operating sewage water underground, nevertheless, you can always cap the vents in profound winter, if you need to. We provide every one of the accessories pictured with your system (san tee, riser, coupler, vent and geotextile textile). The geotextile fabric is included for set up above the gravel level. It retains backfill earth from clogging the gravel and is essential to extending the life span of your leach pit.
The Maxi Tanks biggest benefit is it's large size, due to this the Maxi Container can take effluent for a long period of the time. The much longer you can take effluent the cleaner this inflatable water should come out the other end. The cleaner water the better final result for the environment and your back again pocket i.e the absorption trenches that you have got installed will last longer.
It pays off to care for your tank (see What Not to Flush, below) and spend money on septic reservoir pumping periodically therefore the necessary bacterias don't perish, shutting down the natural machine. At these times, sludge accumulates and flows into the drainfield, where it clogs up the system. Before very long, you have a sewage backup, septic fish tank problems, and a significant headache.
